Our online ukulele lessons come as a packaged, 4-week course and are priced at £11 per hour of time you’ll need to put in.
Whether you choose to include a live weekly online class for the camaraderie, encouragement, coaching, and feedback, or if you prefer to learn at your own pace, the video tutorials are available to start now, and you’ll get 6 months to complete the course. (This is limited to encourage you to complete, instead of leaving it open-ended, as, let’s face it, most people will never put a ‘lifetime’ offer into action. Please aim to graduate and improve, rather than to repeat the class over and over because you can’t master it…) Please put in 10-15 mins practice time per day. (More if you have time.) Set a daily alarm to train yourself, if you need to.
Spaces on the course with the live class are limited. There will only ever be 6 students, at a very maximum, to ensure that everyone gets a chance to play the learned songs, ask questions, receive feedback, and to chat.
See here for class days and times.
A message from Lorraine:Lorraine Bow
Anyone who knows me will know how much I hate being in this situation. I’m doing all I can to offer services that people want to buy.
As you may know, small business owners are being stung. In isolation, unless there is a surge in online course sales, I have no means to get out and earn enough to cover the continuing expenses. I’d love Learn To Uke to still be here at the end of this so if we have offered you any sense of skill and/or fun, you are still earning, can afford to and would like to book a course, or support Learn To Uke, then I’d be very grateful. The reality is I’m now earning a quarter of what it costs to live in London (before food). I’m sure you realise this is not sustainable. If you’ve enjoyed what we offer, you are earning a salary and can afford to, please support using the links below, book a course or spread the word.
I want to continue to offer a meaningful contribution to the ukulele community.
Ways to support are here:
https://monzo.me/lorrainebow/ = best, no commission
https://paypal.me/lorrainebowuke/ = choose friend/family here or they take a big commission
Or, free of charge to you but invaluable, you can share the link to our site with anyone you know who might want to learn a brilliant little instrument whilst they are on lockdown.
Best of all, you can book a course, here:
But I want to learn in person?
If you are in London, we would love to show you in person in the future. As you are now aware, the COVID-19 Coronavirus has really affected businesses like ours and could easily put us out of business. To try to stay afloat, I’ve put all of our courses online. I hope you will join me. I’m really open to feedback as I want to make our online courses as enjoyable as our in-person courses.
We aim to bring you the same high-quality tuition online as we have in person. Online is new to us, so we are open to feedback and supporting you to get the most from your course with us.
Strum with you soon xLorraine Bow
